February 2013!

I've been eagerly anticipating this month since June of last year and now it's here.  We found out we were expecting on June 13, 2012 and first heard our baby's heartbeat on July 11, 2012.  That date carried extra significance because it marked the year anniversary of my grandfather passing.  One heartbeat faded and a year later, we heard another one beginning.  A poignant day full of reflection, gratitude and hope.  And now, nearly nine months later, we sit and wonder about each twitch and twinge...hoping our little one decides to join us sooner than later.  We can't wait to meet him and know he'll come when he's ready...but you can't blame a first time momma for hoping for "sooner!"  Our baby is officially full-term as of this past Wednesday and according to the doctor, he is growing normally, is head down and has a strong heartbeat.  All music to my ears.  It could be tomorrow, it could be two weeks from now.  Heck, it could be three weeks if this guy is really comfortable where he's at.  But one thing is for sure: In a matter of days, our lives will change forever.  We're ready, Baby!  Welcome to your birth month!
